James Gifford is Professor of English in the School of the Humanities at Fairleigh Dickinson University — Vancouver Campus. He has published several books, critical editions, and articles on modernism and anarchism. His book A Modernist Fantasy: Anarchism, Modernism, & the Radical Fantastic (2018) developed directly from his Personal Modernisms: Anarchist Networks & the Later Avant-Gardes (2014). In Spring 2022, his critical edition of the 19^th century travel writer, poet, and author of fantastical long poems, Edward Taylor Fletcher, Of Sunken Islands & Pestilence, will be released by Athabasca University Press.
