Elena joined the The Tolkien Society in 2012 at ​“The Return of the Ring” in Loughborough. They seemed like a good bunch and many a friendship blossomed that week. Over the next few years, she picked up running the art show at Oxonmoot, followed by chairing the event itself in 2015 – 2017, and co-chairing it since 2020. In her spare-from-TS time, Elena manages websites and other digital assets for a not-for-profit and wishes she were walking the hills of Scotland with her husband, Matthew, also an Oxonmooter. Together, they’re raising a ginger feline, whom, in a fit of insanity, they’ve named Fёanor.
