Gee is a postgraduate student studying Fantasy Literature at the University of Glasgow. They received their BA in English Literature from Manchester Metropolitan University, having written their undergraduate dissertation on structures of grief and the eucatastrophe in The Silmarillion. They are currently writing their dissertation on modern fantasy, crossing of thresholds and transitioning away from childhood. In their PhD, Gee hopes to take forward their research on Tolkien’s work.
