Lawson is a first-year PhD student funded by the Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership researching gendered textual interventions in women-authored works from England and the Continent in the 12^th-15^th centuries. She also has secondary research interests in the world-building of Christine de Pizan and Margaret Cavendish, queer representation in medieval French romances, and ecofeminist approaches to Tolkien’s Middle-earth.
