Dr. Edward Risden, professor of English, has taught at St. Norbert College since 1990. He regularly teaches courses in medieval and Renaissance British literature plus Classical Myth, Dante and linguistics. Recent seminar titles include Tolkien’s World, Aesthetics of Literature and Film and Literary Humor. He has published eighteen books including literary criticism, fiction and poetry, with new volumes forthcoming on Tolkien in the twentieth-century intellectual landscape and the use of narrative subversion in medieval and Renaissance literature.
